Splash

Brand identity and campaign concept for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Australia.

Overview

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Australia sought new ways to increase donations and raise awareness by making charitable giving more accessible within everyday routines. In collaboration with Sam Brand at Hello Social, the challenge was to design a concept that could seamlessly integrate giving into moments of routine behaviour.

The solution, Splash, was developed as a simple, app-based concept designed to function as a digital coffee card experience. Built for use across Square POS systems, Splash allows users to round up their coffee purchases to the nearest dollar, with the difference automatically donated to BBBS. The idea reframes micro-donations as effortless, habitual contributions rather than intentional acts of giving.

The brand identity was designed around the idea that small change can make a big impact, expressed through a tone and visual language tailored to time-poor working professionals. Clear, approachable, and behaviour-led, the system reinforces ease and immediacy.

The resulting concept streamlines the donation process and provides BBBS with a scalable way to engage a broader audience, embedding charitable impact directly into everyday coffee culture.
